The Dict.cc Dictionary

Dict.cc is a famous English-German dictionary. Our App Dict.cc Translator takes that dictionary right to your Palm Pre. This App accesses the Dict.cc online database while you are searching for translations.

How it works

Translate a term

After startup you can enter your search term in the input field. When you're done press the "enter" key or tap on the search icon to the right. The app queries the pocket.dict.cc website and displays the translations in a convenient way. Up to 50 matches are displayed. Flags in the background indicate which language is to be found on which side.

The recent searches are stored automatically. They can be accessed using the "Recent" button.

Tap on a search result to start a new search using that term. The term is entered into the search field and the search is started. Use the button on the lower left to navigate back to the previous search.

Further options

Recent searches can be accessed through the "Recent" button on the lower right. Tap on the button and select a term from the menu. Tap on the term to start a new search using that term.

In case Dict.cc can't find a result to your search the app displays a list of suggestions since available. Tap on one of the suggestions to display the results for that term.

Updates

This app checks on startup if updates are available. If there is an update in the Palm App Catalog it will display a short message.
